Camping is a family favorite for vacations. You could say that I'm a bit of an "expert" when it comes to camping, so believe me when I say you'll be treating your loved ones to the kind of camping experience they'll remember fondly when you stay at Otter Lake Camp Resort.

Relaxation & Recreation

Whatever your aims for a great getaway, Otter Lake offers the finest in resort camping facilities.

Swimming, license-free bass fishing (hooray!) and a sand beach are all part of the fun at the lake. Bring your own boat (electric or human-powered only) or rent a rowboat, canoe or paddleboat at the resort. The outdoor pool facility includes a diving area and a heated kiddie pool. Serve up some fun at the four tennis courts, two racquetball courts, full basketball court and the softball field, which are all well-lit for evening play. Horseshoes and shuffleboard are also available. The kids have five fully-equipped playgrounds to explore.

An Indoor Pool Complex offers off-season fun at the heated pool and the steam & soaking pleasures of a sauna and whirlpool. The resort's Game Room has two pool tables and a variety of pinball & video games. The Activity Center hosts our ceramics, arts & crafts, spring & fall movies, summer church services, other resort events and a free lending library. This facility is also available at your request for your group rallies and reunions (the Pocono Otters Association meets here regularly).

Campsites

Although I'm content to just "live off the land" (or "lake," as the case may be) Otter Lake Camp Resort has plenty of conveniences available at their spacious, scenic campsites. Paved roads make getting your RV to the site easier than scraping shellfish off a rock. Each site features a fireplace, two or three way hookups and even cable TV! "Big Rig" drivers will be happy to hear that pull-thru sites are available. If you're like me and like to stay close to the water, the premium Lakefront Sites are simply a joy!

If you're the kind of old-fashioned camper that doesn't go in for much fuss, there are plenty of rustic sites for pitching a tent.

Otter -- er, Other Amenities

Camping doesn't have to mean sacrificing convenience or comfort. Otter Lake features 8 deluxe, heated restrooms with separate hot showers and dressing areas. Keep your campsite well-stocked with supplies, including firewood and propane, from the convenience store (no fried froggy snacks there for yours truly, yet). Washing chores are made a whole lot easier at their two onsite laundromats.
